5777 bet Cricket Betting — Complete Guide to Betting on BPL, IPL and International Matches
From T20 to Test — which markets are available in each format, how to read odds, and how live betting works — all explained clearly in English.
Cricket's three formats and the tournaments Bangladeshi fans love
Cricket is one sport, but its three formats — T20, ODI and Test — offer three different experiences. A T20 match wraps up in just three to four hours, every over carries tension, and the result stays uncertain until the final moment. This pace keeps betting markets highly active throughout.
ODI is a bit longer — fifty overs per side, two innings. Run rate, partnerships and middle-over strategy become important, making markets like over/under or top batsman more meaningful. Test cricket runs over five days — pitch type, surface conditions and weather can all change the course of a match.
BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) holds a special place for Bangladeshi cricket fans. Beyond that, interest in betting on IPL, the T20 World Cup and ICC tournaments remains steady throughout the year. Every international match the Bangladesh Tigers play draws extra attention at home.
Betting on football and other sports works a little differently from cricket — football allows draws, so it has additional markets like 1X2 or double chance. Cricket has no draw result (except in Test), so markets are straightforwardly limited to the two teams.
The popular markets in cricket betting
In a cricket match, betting goes well beyond just "who will win." Seven markets are explained individually below.
Match Winner
Pick one of the two teams to win the match. In T20 and ODI there are no draws — you simply say whether Team A or Team B will win. This is the most straightforward and most widely played market.
Toss Betting
Bet on which team will win the coin toss before the match. The outcome is essentially fifty-fifty, so the odds on both sides are usually close. This market has no connection to the main match result.
Top Run Scorer
Which batsman will score the most runs within a specific team. If a side has five or six strong batters, each carries different odds, and a less prominent batter will have longer odds.
Total Runs Over / Under
Predict whether the total runs scored will be above or below a set number. For example, whether total runs in a T20 match will exceed 315. Pitch type and weather conditions matter here.
Top Wicket Taker
Bet on which bowler will take the most wickets. Spinners have an edge on spin-friendly pitches, while fast bowlers are favoured on pace-friendly surfaces.
Multiple Matches Combined
Place multiple selections on one bet slip and the odds are multiplied together. If Team A wins one match and the runs go over in another, getting both right brings a larger return. Detailed rules and examples for multi bets are on a separate page.
A Specific Performance
Will a batsman score more than fifty runs? Will a bowler take more than three wickets? In this type of handicap-style market the outcome is yes or no — not an exact number.
Reading odds — three formats
Odds on a betting site can appear in three different formats — decimal, fractional and American. All three mean the same thing; only the way they are written differs.
Example 1 — the same value in three formats
Say you want to bet on Team A to win, with a stake of ৳1,000.
| Format | Odds | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | Stake × Odds = Total return |
| Fractional | 3/2 | ৳3 profit for every ৳2 staked |
| American | +150 | ৳150 profit on a ৳100 bet |
If Team A wins, a ৳1,000 bet returns ৳2,500 in total — that is ৳1,500 profit plus the original ৳1,000 stake back. If Team A loses, the ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 — odds on a favourite
Team B is a strong side, so the odds are lower. On a ৳1,000 bet:
| Format | Odds | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.25 | ৳1,000 × 1.25 = ৳1,250 |
| Fractional | 1/4 | ৳1 profit for every ৳4 staked |
| American | -400 | You need to stake ৳400 to win ৳100 |
If Team B wins, the total return is ৳1,250 — a profit of only ৳250. In American format, a minus (−) sign indicates the favourite.
Live Betting — how odds change during a match
You can place bets after a match has started — this is called live or in-play betting. The difference from pre-match betting is that odds change after every over, wicket or boundary.
Take for example Team A batting and reaching 60 runs for 3 wickets after 10 overs. At that point, Team A's odds to win may lengthen from earlier, because their run rate is under pressure. Then if two sixes are hit in the next over, the odds will shorten again.
When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds generally lengthen because scoring more runs with fewer wickets is harder. Rain or a change in ground conditions also affects the market. In live betting you have less time to decide — you need to place your bet before the market closes.
On 5777 bet, scores and markets keep updating throughout live betting. To make use of this, it is best to have your account open and your balance ready.
Useful tips on betting — for beginners
-
01
Focus on one market
Start with just match winner or over/under — sticking to one market helps you understand how odds and markets work. -
02
Set a budget
Decide how much you will spend each session before you start. Even if you lose, do not go beyond that limit. Betting is entertainment — chasing losses only makes things worse. -
03
Choose markets that suit the format
In T20, top batsman or powerplay runs markets work well. In ODI, first innings total runs can be more predictable. In Test, a draw is a genuine possibility. -
04
Be careful with multi bets
Multi bets can return more, but if one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost. Reading the multi bet rules will make the risk clearer. -
05
Do not rush in live betting
Odds move fast during a match. After any event, keep a clear head before deciding — rather than placing a bet immediately after every wicket, wait a moment. -
06
Know the terms and conditions
For details on bonuses, withdrawals and betting rules, check the terms and conditions page — reading it early helps avoid confusion later.

Log in to your accountFootball and other sports betting
Besides cricket, you can also bet on football and other sports at 5777 bet. The key difference in football is that a draw is a real outcome. So the market offers three options — 1X2 (Team A win / draw / Team B win) — compared to the usual two in cricket.
In football, goal line (over/under), both teams to score (BTTS) and half-time result are common markets. Just as cricket odds shift over by over, football odds change after goals are scored.
Other sports — badminton, tennis and hockey betting are also available. Each sport has its own market structure, different from cricket. However, the way odds are read remains the same — whether decimal, fractional or American.
